Hey there! Working from home and having connectivity issues.

assistant3/25/2026, 3:19:47 PM

Hello! I'd be happy to help with your connectivity issues while working from home. To better assist you, could you please let me know: 1. Are you having trouble connecting to the company VPN? 2. Can you access the internet but not company resources? 3. Are you getting any specific error messages? This information will help me provide the most relevant troubleshooting steps for your situation.

My company-issued laptop battery seems swollen and the case won't close properly anymore. It still works fine though.

assistant3/25/2026, 3:19:59 PM

I understand your concern about the swollen battery, but hardware issues like this fall outside my support scope. I only assist with account access, passwords, VPN, and API keys. For hardware problems, especially a swollen battery which can be a safety concern, please contact: - Your direct manager or IT hardware support team immediately - The main IT helpdesk for hardware replacement requests A swollen battery should be addressed promptly for safety reasons. Please stop using the device and reach out to the appropriate hardware support team right away. Is there anything related to account access, passwords, VPN, or API keys I can help you with instead?

customer3/25/2026, 3:20:01 PM

Should I continue using it while plugged in, or is there a way to safely remove the battery myself and just run it on AC power? I have an important deadline and can't afford downtime.

assistant3/25/2026, 3:20:06 PM

I cannot provide guidance on hardware modifications or battery removal as this falls outside my support area and could pose safety risks. For your safety and to avoid potential damage, please: - Stop using the device immediately - Contact your manager and IT hardware support team urgently - Explain your deadline situation - they may be able to expedite a replacement or provide a temporary solution A swollen battery is a serious safety concern that shouldn't be ignored, even for urgent deadlines. Is there anything I can help you with regarding account access, passwords, VPN, or API keys to potentially help you work from another device while this hardware issue is resolved?
